I do not associate with any particular denomination or label; I study the Word to believe in what I believe in.
- The Bible is the Word of God. It is perfect, timeless, and is a "mirror to our lives" - when we look into it, we see if everything is looking good or if we need to make a correction to our life style. God speaks to us through it and we should read it as much as we can. It is also our weapon, and without it we are "sitting ducks" to the enemy.
- There is one God manifested as the Father, Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. This is called the Trinity.
- Man was made perfect and for a relationship with God, but then sin tainted it all and a spiritual and physical death was the consequence. However, God did not leave us mired in this sin but sent his son Jesus to pay for it and intercede for us.
- There is a literal Heaven and Hell, and Jesus died so we could go to Heaven and not Hell. But salvation is a gift and we get to choose where we go by believing in and living for Jesus or not.
- To become a Christian, only two things are necessary: believing that Jesus died and raised from the dead to cover our his/her sin and confessing Him as Lord of his/her life. You can't have one without the other, and confessing Him as Lord is more than just saying a prayer - it is a dedication and commitment to live life for Him.
- Salvation is by grace and it is a free gift; we cannot earn it.
- Baptism does not give you salvation, but it is an important step to leaving your old life behind and should be done as soon as possible.
- The gifts of the Spirit are still active today, and the "Baptism of the Holy Spirit" is not required for salvation, but it is empowering and is available for every believer. To fellow believers who disagree with me on this: I still consider you my family and love you just as much as anyone else, and I hope you think the same towards me.
- Women can be called to be preachers or missionaries. If you are unsure about this, please consider buying Putting Women in their Proper Place by Pastor Jeff Jones. He explains it much more clearly than I can.
- I do not believe in a "pre-adamite" race or anything of that sort anymore. Genesis 1 is literal and a day is a day.
